The LIKE A KING program is designed to support male youth ages 10–18 in gaining the knowledge, skills, and guidance needed to positively transform their lives. Through a variety of structured activities, the mentoring program focuses on building self-esteem, enhancing self-image, and helping each mentee create a personal vision and life plan aligned with their goals and aspirations.


A core component of the program is learning to master oneself. Mentees will engage in exercises that teach emotional regulation and the importance of not allowing emotions to dictate behavior. They will also explore the value of self-discipline as the foundation for becoming responsible, respectful, and successful individuals who can thrive and contribute positively to society.

The LIKE A ROSE girls mentoring program is designed to inspire, empower, and equip young women ages 10-18 with the tools they need to thrive. Through group activities, one-on-one mentoring, and supportive peer connections, participants will:

  • Build meaningful peer relationships

  • Strengthen problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Grow in confidence and self-esteem

  • Develop healthy coping strategies and social skills

  • Learn effective stress management techniques

  • Enhance essential life skills for everyday success

  • Practice conflict resolution in positive ways

  • Discover and strengthen their leadership potential

At Concrete Roses, we believe every girl deserves a safe space to be heard, encouraged, and prepared for the future

Eligibility

  • Youth ages 10-18

  • Must commit to attending sessions regularly at a minimum of 90% to successfully complete the program and earn a Certificate of Completion.

  • Open to all backgrounds----no cost to join

  • Parent/guardian consent required
